Life can be tough. Everyone has their own challenges, and when they come along we either face up to them or run and hide. I wrote Taking the Martial: Kickstart your confidence to show how learning a martial art – and understanding how practising it can bring about lasting positive change – can help you face up to them.
Whatever your age, fitness level, gender or race, you can reap the rewards. This book is about unlocking the power of martial arts to transform your life, both in training and in everything else you do.
Available on Kindle and in paperback, published by Rethink Press.

‘An inspirational, informative read that makes the reader reflect on their own experiences, outlook on life and training in the martial arts. The use of the martial arts as a motivational tool and a roadmap for success is second to none, without the writer influencing the reader as to which art to study.’
Paul Couldrey, Wing Chun Sifu
‘Taking The Martial is a great insight into the mind of a great teacher. It explores the reasons you may start and benefit from martial arts.
